Prior experience with forging tooling (hot and / or cold forging) is highly preferred. Experience in the aerospace or similar high-precision manufacturing industry is a plus.

Responsibilities
- Inspect, clean, and maintain forging tools (dies, punches, trim dies, inserts).
- Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot issues (wear, deformation, failure).
- Repair tooling using grinding, polishing, resurfacing techniques.
- Fabricate components from blueprints / CAD using manual and CNC machines (lathes, mills, EDM, grinders).
- Modify tooling for design changes, efficiency, or production issues.
- Select materials based on forging parameters and application needs.
- Measure tooling using micrometers, calipers, comparators, etc.
- Perform visual inspections for defects and wear.
- Document tooling conditions, repairs, and changes accurately.
- Work with operators and engineers to optimize tooling and resolve production issues.
- Suggest improvements in design and materials.
- Support root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
