Aviation Site Acquisition Manager

The Aviation Site Acquisition Manager will be responsible for driving all aspects of site acquisition and development for Flock Safety's aviation-related projects, known as DFR (Drone as a First Responder). This role requires strong real estate, regulatory, and power / utility coordination expertise to ensure projects move seamlessly from planning through execution. The ideal candidate will combine sharp negotiation skills with a deep understanding of zoning, permitting, and tower infrastructure processes.

Responsibilities include :

• Leading real estate negotiations with property owners to secure access and maintenance rights for aviation-related sites
• Executing utility and power coordination to ensure timely and cost-effective connections for aviation infrastructure
• Overseeing and completing all zoning and permitting processes at the local, state and federal levels to obtain the necessary approvals
• Preparing, submitting and tracking all tower company applications for radar installations
• Managing engineering deliverables such as CAD, Structural Analysis, rooftop mapping, etc with internal and external partners ensuring timely completion
• Collaborating with internal teams (legal, engineering, construction, compliance) to streamline acquisition workflows.
• Developing and maintaining strong relationships with external partners, including tower companies, local governments, and utility providers.
• Managing due diligence, including site assessments, environmental reviews, and title verification.
• Providing regular project updates, risks, and mitigation strategies to leadership.

The First 30 Days : Build foundational knowledge of Flock Safety's aviation initiatives, processes, and regulatory landscape while shadowing site acquisition activities. Establish relationships with internal teams and initiate outreach with external stakeholders.

The First 60 Days : Take ownership of early acquisition tasksnegotiations, utility coordination, and permit applicationswhile tracking progress and risks. Strengthen external partnerships and streamline workflows by creating a contact database and identifying process improvements.

90 Days & Beyond : Independently manage full site acquisition lifecycle, including lease negotiations, utility coordination, and complex regulatory applications. Standardize processes with a playbook, deliver a pipeline health review, and present a 6-month roadmap to leadership.

In this role, you'll receive a starting salary between $90,000 and $110,000 as well as Flock Safety Stock Options. Base salary is determined by job-related experience, education / training, as well as market indicators. Your recruiter will discuss this in-depth with you during our first chat.
