Location : Austin, TX (401 S. 1st St.) – Hybrid (3 days onsite / 2 days remote)

Position Summary
The Import Export Compliance Analyst supports daily international trade compliance operations, ensuring compliance with U.S. import and export regulations . This role involves classification, licensing, documentation, and risk mitigation related to global shipments. The Analyst will partner with engineering, supply chain, and compliance teams to uphold regulatory standards and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure imports comply with U.S. Customs regulations : HTS classification, valuation, COO, record-keeping, and special trade programs.
Ensure exports comply with EAR regulations by assigning accurate ECCN codes (ITAR knowledge a plus).
Collaborate with engineering and materials teams to determine proper ECCN / HTS classifications.
Screen export orders against restricted / denied party lists; maintain accurate compliance records.
Support internal controls to meet / exceed compliance goals and processing timelines.
Update manuals and procedures to align with current practices and regulations.
Assist with Post Summary Corrections and prior disclosures.
Partner with freight forwarders, customs officers, and global stakeholders to ensure shipment compliance.
Organize and track compliance-related communications through shared Outlook mailboxes.
Qualifications
1–3 years' experience in trade compliance (HTS, ECCN, EAR).
Familiarity with EAR regulations ; ITAR knowledge beneficial but not required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) .
SAP experience is a plus.
Strong organizational skills and ability to handle ambiguity.
High attention to detail with excellent communication skills.
Bachelor's degree preferred (Supply Chain, International Business, or related).
Preferred Background
Experience in high-tech or semiconductor industry .
Familiarity with engineering change orders and documentation controls .
Risk mitigation and process improvement mindset.
