DESIGN ENGINEER (Houston, TX) Designing and analyzing of structures according to code compliance. Apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and technologies for each assigned project. Design and analysis of metal building framing for commercial, institutional, and industrial buildings. Design framing and foundation for multi-story self-storage buildings. Provide calculations for roof, wall, and soffit panel systems. Design roof retrofit framing for existing building. Review permit and construction drawings for buildings. Reinforce and modify existing metal buildings for structural adequacy. Perform design / analysis using industry leading software’s such as AutoCAD, MathCAD, RISA-3D, RISA Connections, RISA Sections and Excel. Requires a master’s degree in civil engineering.
