Hardware Design Support Engineer

Overview :

Seeking a Hardware Design Support Engineer to assist with the design, testing, and production transfer of electronic hardware. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in electrical / electronics engineering, hands-on lab experience, and the ability to work cross-functionally with engineering and production teams.

Responsibilities :

Assist design engineers with circuit schematics, PCB layout (Altium), and component selection.

Support purchasing / manufacturing staff in sourcing alternative parts and verifying form / fit / function requirements.

Transfer designs to production by creating / modifying BOMs, wire harnesses, and cable drawings.

Investigate hardware design issues using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other test equipment.

Set up and run automated tests to evaluate and document performance.

Design / support test fixtures and board testers for production.

Collaborate with mechanical engineers on fit, and firmware engineers on hardware / firmware debugging.

Perform failure analysis on production / customer units, propose solutions, and write / review ECNs.

Work safely with live electrical equipment up to 480V.

Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering or related field.

Knowledge of test equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, DMMs, etc.).
