Senior Captive Insurance Operations Manager

Were seeking an experienced & highly motivated Senior Manager Captive Insurance Operations to join JM Familys growing Enterprise Risk team. This position presents a distinctive opportunity to lead the creation and execution of a robust insurance strategy across multiple entities. It blends financial stewardship with strategic decision-making directly enhancing associate well-being and contributing to the organizations long-term resilience and operational effectiveness. With the ability to influence strategy and drive innovation the role also offers the chance to expand the captive(s) into new areas for meaningful impact. The individual in this role will provide strategic direction and operational leadership to drive expansion and growth for a multi-line captive insurance program that includes both first- and third-party coverage. Responsibilities include designing and managing risk-financing strategies and spearheading cross-functional initiatives to optimize program performance.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Captive Program Strategy & Governance

Lead the development expansion consolidation and ongoing management of the captive insurance entities.

Manage underwriting reserve adequacy budgeting and financial reporting.

Coordinate new placements and renewals with brokers consultants and insurers.

Build and maintain relationships with reinsurers TPAs captive managers actuaries investment bankers and advisors.

Ensure full regulatory compliance across all captive operations.

Potentially build and lead a team to support growth and service delivery.

Work closely with brokers reinsurers and legal / tax counsel to evaluate insurance products and policy terms.

Manage premium billing collateral requirements and claims support.
