Job Summary
The Facilities Coordinator ensures that all facilities-related requests are processed accurately and in a timely manner, in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Experience and Education
Required :
Education : Bachelors Degree, or Associates Degree or two years of college with additional experience considered in lieu of a degree
Experience : 5 years of experience in planning, coordinating, and delivering facilities functions Experience should include familiarity with :
Building maintenance
Job Duties
Supervise staff responsible for administrative and facilities-related tasks, including office furniture and equipment
Plan and implement departmental moves and relocations, coordinating furniture, equipment, telephones, and timelines
Maintain inventory control for furniture and equipment, including distribution, reallocation, transfer, and disposal
Ensure surplus property is removed from inventory and reconciled with the Inventory Control Office
Meet with users to assess space needs and assist with layout and furnishing plans
Maintain expertise in laboratory design, setup, and systems
Coordinate and oversee departmental construction and renovation projects
Research and create equipment lists for new and expanding clinics and departments
Procure, stage, and install equipment for renovations and projects
Obtain competitive pricing and manage vendor contracts for equipment, furniture, and services
Act as fire safety coordinator during drills and training; maintain departmental business recovery documentation
Track and maintain medical equipment in accordance with biomedical service agreements
Assist with annual budget planning for renovations, capital requests, and core equipment purchases
Perform other duties as assigned
