Participating in ongoing development, assessment and improvement activities Maintaining the quality and integrity of the program Responsibility for teaching classes in the program Provide instruction with the focus on teaching and learning to help assure students successfully meet all course outcomes and classroom objectives. Participate in professional development activities that develop and enhance teaching and facilitation skills. Participate in campus wide initiatives in support of recruitment, retention and graduation goal attainment including but not limited to, monitoring, adjusting (when needed), and assessing classroom program retention / graduation and meeting with program advisors on a regular basis to discuss student performance and academic concerns. Fulfill all administrative duties related to instructional responsibilities Ability to work cooperatively with faculty and staff in diverse academic programs Minimum of one year of teaching experience at the college / university level Commitment to undergraduate education and student success Excellent organizational and communication skills Must be able to work independently and effectively interact with a wide array of parties at all levels (students, faculty, administration / staff, alumni, and external constituents, including healthcare industry professionals) A focus on student-centered pedagogy, integration of technology in instruction, the ability to engage with industry in the classroom are highly desired. Master's, DHA or Ph.D. in Healthcare Administration or a related field Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in healthcare practice, evaluation and / or research Familiarity with the healthcare landscape
JOB DESCRIPTION
- ADJUNCT, RESIDENTIAL
The College of Health Sciences at Oral Roberts University is currently seeking applications for adjunct faculty in Healthcare Administration. This would be an ideal position for a Healthcare Administration professional. Adjunct faculty will teach in the residential undergraduate Healthcare Administration program course. These 3-credit courses provide introductory level education to new healthcare administration students. Desire is to map strengths with courses taught in program. It is imperative that candidates demonstrate a Spirit-Empowered Christian commitment and are compatible with the university's honor code of conduct.
