The Electro-Mechanical Technician Level 4 is responsible for the day-to-day troubleshooting and preventative / predictive maintenance (specify equipment on your site). Acts as a senior material handling technician on all equipment installed at the Vandalia. OH site location. Aids and mentors lower-level employees. This role will require you to work 4 : 30 pm to 4 : 30 am on a rotating Panama shift. Overtime and occasional weekend work may be required.

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $35 to $39.50 an hour at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location education experience knowledge and skills.

Tasks and Qualifications :

What You Will Do in This Role

  • Repair and maintain Material Handling Equipment (MHE) including belt tracking component adjustments replacements and lubrication.
  • Complete preventative maintenance routines documentation and procedures to ensure our systems run flawlessly.
  • Apply electrical test equipment to troubleshoot and resolve electrical circuitry issues.
  • Build and close work orders in our asset management system recording labor hours equipment maintenance and parts used.
  • Troubleshoot conveyance problems determining the resources needed to resolve them successfully.
  • Track and manage spare parts inventory to ensure availability for maintenance tasks.
  • Perform complex maintenance and equipment testing to verify they meet world-class specifications.
  • Train customers to operate our sophisticated equipment efficiently.
  • Respond to service calls correcting equipment failures and faults promptly.
  • Identify and resolve problems as they occur maintaining our reputation for outstanding service.

    • What We Are Looking For

  • High School diploma or equivalent experience required. Associates degree or vocational technical training preferred with specialized skill training / certification being a plus.
  • Demonstrates senior-level expertise with 5-7 years of experience in a technical or specialty area.
  • Proven track record in the area of responsibility with successful demonstration of key tasks.
  • Strong customer-facing abilities maintaining professional communication via email and in-person with onsite customer leadership Dematic leadership and technicians.
  • Leadership skills to guide projects manage teams and advise on day-to-day operations and tasks.
  • Physical capability to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds regularly bend lift stretch and reach both below the waist and above the head.
  • Ability to push and pull wheeled dollies loaded with products up to 100 pounds.
  • Able to climb ladders and gangways safely work in various environments (small spaces dust fumes / odors hot / cold temps) endure noise vibration and long periods on concrete.
  • Strong PLC and electrical troubleshooting capabilities ensuring our equipment runs smoothly and efficiently.
