IT Business Analyst (ERP)
Reporting to the US Chief Operating Officer with dotted lined reporting to the Business Applications Manager North America, the IT Business Analyst (ERP) will lead ERP implementations as well as Applications projects across the US. This role must understand the user’s day-to-day reality, while being able to enforce the Group’s processes and software portfolio.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities :
- Act as an expert in ERP implementation expert.
- Understand the business processes of the companies associated to the ERP, for both distribution and manufacturing.
- Work with the business towards the acceptance of the Soprema core model.
- Negotiate with executive key players in each business units to make the ERP / IT implementations a success.
- Managed the ERP / IT projects using our project management software.
- Write functional analysis describing the needs and how to resolve the underlying business issues.
- Write and tests the tickets for the ERP / IT developments, regarding the issues related to the implementation projects.
- Resolve technical issues related to the ERP.
- Work with the different IT managers (infrastructure and helpdesk) to provide adequate IT services.
- Other responsibilities as determined by the US Chief Operating Officer or Business Applications Manager North America.
Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in IT or business manager, with a specialty in IT / IS.5+ years related experience in an ERP required.Understand the business processes of a manufacturing company.Experience in managing other systems, such as MRP, TMS and CRM.Experience in database management, such as MSSQL, MySQL, or other similar databases.Experience with project management and budget management.Experience with AGILE methodology, as well as WATERFALL.Experience with Microsoft Dynamics.Experience with migrating and implementing ERP software.Background in software development an asset.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to multi task in a fast-paced organization.A superior work ethic.Good listening skills and the ability to work well with end users.Self-starter that will take ownership of assignments and drive to completion with minimal supervision.Time management and prioritization skills.Working Conditions and / or Physical Demands :
Travel is required. Up to 20% travel, including the US and Canada.Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.Reports to the Chief Operating Officer with dotted line reporting to the Business Applications Manager North America.
