Job Skills / Requirements

General Responsibilities :

Employees are assigned to one of the four essential functions, rotating as cleaning specialists as needed. All employees will clean as a team and be assigned one of the four specialist roles upon arrival at the job site. The OS1 Specialist must be versatile and able to perform all essential functions and complete the required OS1 training competencies. This highly motivated individual is responsible for maintaining clean and orderly conditions in the facility areas. Learn more about the OS1 method here :

Specific Duties / Essential Functions :

  • Cleaning offices, lobbies, and common areas.
  • Cleaning and restocking restrooms.
  • Empty trash cans around the property and replace trash bags.
  • Cleaning corridors and stairwells.
  • Removing trash, cleaning floors, dusting / wiping down all surfaces.
  • Vacuuming, sweeping and mopping.
  • Operating walk-behind floor cleaning machines (if applicable).
  • Cleans and polishes furniture, windows, doors, frames, ashtrays, and fixtures.
  • Restocking supplies in, bathrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
  • Maintain janitor closet and janitorial equipment in a clean, safe, and operable condition.
  • Periodically cleans overhead vents and dust blinds.
  • Proficiency in English will enhance your ability to collaborate and communicate with colleagues and clients, ensuring smooth operations.
  • Perform End of Shift Inspections (EOS) following company guidelines, ensuring cleanliness and safety standards are met at the end of each shift.
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Schedule :

  • Full-time, Day shifts : Monday - Friday, 7 AM - 3 : 30 PM

    • Salary : $19.00 per hour

  • Open availability : Overtime work and schedule adjustments may be needed / necessary. Holiday work may also be required.
  • Applicants must provide proof of work authorization and complete an I9 and E-Verify process.

    • Physical Requirements :

  • Physically able to be on your feet during an entire shift; walking, bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, pulling, pushing, kneeling, and crouching.
  • Must be able to lift 35 lbs, carry 12 lbs backpack vacuum, as needed.
  • Good hygiene skills are required.
  • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

    • Driving Requirements :

  • Must complete pre-employment motor vehicle record check.
  • Must have and maintain a valid California driver’s license.
  • Use a personal, insured vehicle daily.
  • Maintain a driving record that meets the standards of Pegasus' insurance carrier.
