Job Description & Requirements Specialty : PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care Discipline : RN Start Date : 12 / 15 / 2025 Duration : 16 weeks 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, nights Employment Type : Travel Opportunity : RN - PICU Job Details : Work 12-hour night shifts from 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 30 AM 36 guaranteed hours per week (except during orientation week and holidays when unit is closed) 13-week contract assignment Float to NICU and PICU as needed Every other weekend requirement Rotate every other holiday No on-call or call back responsibilities Associate degree or certificate required, Bachelor's degree preferred Required certifications : Wisconsin or Compact RN license, AHA BLS, AHA PALS AHA ACLS preferred but not required Flu vaccine required with no exemptions Minimum 12-18 months high acuity cardiac PICU experience required Level I Trauma experience highly preferred Use Epic EMR system Provide nursing care for cardiac and cardiovascular surgery patients Care for hemodynamically compromised patients and those with impending respiratory failure Work with high acuity cardiac PICU patients including open heart, heart transplants, and open chests Care for variety of ages from neonates / infants to adult congenital patients Professional scrubs of any color acceptable Single small nose stud permitted, flesh colored or clear piercing plugs allowed Facility : This leading pediatric healthcare organization operates a specialized 24-bed Pediatric Cardiac ICU unit providing comprehensive care for patients with complex cardiac conditions.
