Position Overview

This role can be based remotely in the US or in Denver, CO.

The Director, AI Delivery, Global serves as Vantage's execution leader for artificial intelligence transformation, translating strategic vision into quantifiable business outcomes through focused delivery of AI solutions and infrastructure. This role orchestrates the accelerated validation mechanism that converts organizational friction points into working solutions while establishing the technical foundation required for enterprise-scale AI adoption. The Director builds and leads two critical delivery teams, AI Solutions (Rapid Prototyping) and AI Platform & Partnership, ensuring that innovation velocity never compromises technical excellence, governance compliance, or sustainable scalability.

This position represents the crucial link between strategic AI vision and operational reality, accountable for redefining Vantage's ambitious AI roadmap into deployable capabilities that measurably advance business objectives. Success requires balancing the urgency of rapid prototyping cycles with the rigor of enterprise architecture, the creativity of innovation with the rigor of governance, and the autonomy of empowered teams with the alignment vital for organizational coherence.

Essential Job Functions

Key Responsibilities :

Build and lead high-performing teams passionate about AI innovations and platform development. These teams deliver validated prototypes every 6 weeks. They also establish scalable technical infrastructure for enterprise AI capabilities.

Drive the rapid validation engine that proves business value before major resource commitment, establishing clear decision gates where partners approve, pivot, or kill initiatives based on demonstrated capability rather than projected promise.

Establish and maintain the technical groundwork for responsible AI deployment across the enterprise. This encompasses governance approaches that include ethics and compliance from the beginning, instead of implementing controls post-development.

Orchestrate seamless handoffs from rapid prototyping to enterprise implementation, delivering complete transition packages that enable zero-rework deployment by development teams.

Cultivate strategic collaborations in technology to extend the AI capabilities of Vantage beyond internal development capacity. Evaluate vendor solutions against build decisions. Ensure partner integrations align with architectural standards and governance requirements.

Champion organizational AI fluency through successful delivery that demonstrates possibility rather than preaching transformation, building credibility through consistently met commitments that shift enterprise culture from skepticism to engagement.

Duties :

Establish and implement quality standards for AI solution development, ensuring every prototype undergoes technical validation before partner presentation through dedicated QC engineering review.

Design and refine the rapid prototyping methodology that balances speed with sustainability, creating repeatable processes that deliver working demonstrations in 6-week cycles without creating technical debt or compliance exposure.

Build collaborative frameworks between AI Solutions teams and departmental Sherpas that employ operational context for better requirements' definition while maintaining technical leadership over solution architecture.

Develop comprehensive transition protocols that enable clean handoffs from prototyping to production, including BRD / PRD documentation, technical specifications, architectural decisions, and success criteria that prevent rework during enterprise implementation.

Architect the AI platform infrastructure that provides secure, scalable foundation for both current solutions and future capabilities, making strategic decisions about build versus buy, cloud architecture, data management, and integration patterns.

Cultivate technology partnerships that expand Vantage's AI ecosystem through strategic vendor relationships, evaluating solutions against internal capabilities while negotiating terms that preserve flexibility and avoid lock-in.

Establish governance frameworks embedding ethical AI standards into delivery processes instead of treating ethics and compliance as afterthoughts. Develop automated controls that enable innovation within safe boundaries.

Create performance indicators and reporting that demonstrate AI delivery impact through business value quantification, adoption rates, velocity improvements, and quality indicators that build executive confidence in transformation progress.

Build talent development programs within AI delivery teams that cultivate technical perfection, business insight, and collaborative capability. Craft career pathways that retain skilled employees and continuously elevate team capabilities.

Handle additional duties as assigned by Leadership.

Job Requirements

Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related technical field with substantial experience leading AI / ML delivery teams in enterprise environments; advanced degrees valuable but not required when offset by demonstrated success building and scaling AI capabilities that generated measurable business impact.

Consistent record establishing rapid prototyping methodologies that balance innovation velocity with technical quality, having led teams that consistently delivered validated solutions while maintaining governance compliance and architectural coherence.

Deep technical expertise in AI / ML technologies, platform architecture, and enterprise integration patterns, with hands-on experience making build versus buy decisions, evaluating vendor solutions, and architecting scalable infrastructure.

Validated capability building and leading geographically distributed technical teams that maintain delivery velocity across time zones and cultural contexts, having established collaborative frameworks that leverage regional expertise while ensuring global alignment.

Strong understanding of AI governance frameworks, responsible AI principles, and regulatory compliance requirements, with experience embedding these controls within delivery workflows rather than treating them as constraints.

Exceptional ability to communicate technical concepts to business audiences and translate business requirements into technical specifications, having optimally built credibility with both engineering teams and executive leadership.

Experience in data center operations, infrastructure projects, or construction management highly desirable as it provides crucial context for understanding Vantage's operational environment and the specific friction points AI can address.

Comfort operating in high-velocity environments with contending priorities and evolving requirements, demonstrating resilience through organizational change while maintaining team morale and delivery commitments.

Ability to build collaborative relationships across organizational boundaries, having optimally partnered with IT, Security, Legal, Compliance, and business functions to deliver solutions that meet diverse stakeholder requirements.

Travel required is expected to be up to 10% but may increase over time as the business evolves.

Additional Details

Salary Range : $205,000-215,000 Base + Bonus (this range is based on Colorado market data and may vary in other locations)

Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including your qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
