About Us
Foot and Ankle Specialists of Illinois (FASI) is an established medical and surgical podiatry practice located in Algonquin, IL. We are looking to add a Certified Medical Assistant with at least 2+ years of experience to our team. If youre a person who starts your day with a smile and ends it with a bigger smile, consider applying for this position. Podiatry experience is a plus (but not required). Moving in and out of the rooms actively delivering hands-on chairside patient care in the exam roomsTaking x-rays, medical histories, and vital signsPreparing patients for examination and assisting the physician during the examinationExplaining treatment procedures and patient education as directed by podiatristHandling durable medical equipment and patient educationRemoving sutures and changing dressingsArranging room instruments and equipmentCleaning and maintaining office equipment and areasReviewing the daily schedule and helping manage the flow of the clinicParticipating in huddles, debriefs, and team meetingsLearning new procedures, processes, and protocolsScribing for doctors in the exam roomEnjoying your day at work!Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalentMedical Assistant Certification (preferred)Minimum 2 years' experience in a busy healthcare setting (required)Minimum 2 years' experience using medical patient care software or EMR platforms such as e-clinical works, next-gen office, Athena, epic, or other similar systems.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products Outlook e-mail, excel, etcWillingness to learn and collaborateExcellent communication and writing skills
