Tax Accountant

Description

We're seeking a detail-oriented Tax Accountant to join our client's finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and filing tax returns, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, and providing accurate financial information to support business decisions. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, analyzing financial data, and staying up to date with evolving tax laws.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review individual, corporate, partnership, and / or trust tax returns
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations
• Conduct tax research and stay current on new tax legislation and compliance requirements
• Reconcile tax accounts and maintain accurate documentation for audits
• Assist with tax planning strategies to minimize liabilities
• Support month-end and year-end close processes related to tax provisions
• Communicate effectively with clients, auditors, and internal departments to resolve tax issues
• Prepare supporting schedules and respond to inquiries from tax authorities as needed
