Job Title : Insurance Verification Specialist (Facility Experience)
Location : Houston, TX (REMOTE after Training)

Job Description :
The Insurance Verifier will be responsible for verifying patient insurance coverage, calculating financial responsibilities, and ensuring accurate and timely financial clearance for medical procedures. This role requires strong attention to detail and experience working in a healthcare facility.
Key Responsibilities :
- Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits using online portals, phone calls, and other resources
- Manually calculate patient financial responsibilities based on EOB, co-insurance, deductibles, and coverage details
- Enter insurance details (co-payments, deductibles, etc.) accurately into EMR
- Collaborate with front office staff to resolve insurance verification issues
- Ensure all notifications and authorizations are completed before surgery dates
- Work closely with billing and coding teams for proper claim processing
- Maintain professional and clear communication with patients, providers, and insurance companies
- Process 20-30 verifications daily while adhering to productivity standards
Qualifications :
Experience : Minimum 1 year of dedicated insurance verification experienceFacility Experience : Required, particularly in surgical proceduresTechnical Skills : Experience with Meditech EMR or SSI clearinghouse preferred but not requiredCalculation Skills : Ability to manually determine patient costs based on insurance benefitsCommunication : Strong verbal and written communication skillsReliability & Tech Savviness : Comfortable working in multiple systems efficientlyAdditional Details :
