We are seeking a Principal Communications Generalist who is a fast-moving perfectionist that thrives on change and executes with an unrelenting focus on quality. Reporting to the Communications Director Global Technology and Innovation and IT you willbe responsible forsupporting and managing the creation development and execution of effective internal and external communication this dynamic and varied role your work will include communications strategy development organizational change management communicationsandemployee engagement role is also responsible for ensuring consistency of on-brand messaging across internal communications channels as well as enabling a data-driven strategy that drives our approach and work will focus primarily on supporting one keyfunction (Global IT) but will flexacross functions based on business needs.

This role supports US time zones and is intended to be an in-person position with key stakeholders and partners in Minneapolis MN. Travel required for this role is expected to be less than 10 percent.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

Handles creating and implementing multiple forms of internal strategic communication activities programs and content guided by the Medtronic Mission and overall business strategy.

Leads strategies produces content and organizes events to help align the organizations goals in support of greater employee engagement and business impact.

Generates comprehensive strategic plans that engage employees with the objectives policies Mission and growth strategies of the company.

Responsible for planning storytelling writing and editing to persuade educate and inspire internal audiences to change behavior or understand the work environment.

Supports senior leadership in communicating key change initiatives policy changes and other company information to employees.

As required may possess strong change management communications capabilities and an understanding of organizational dynamics and social psychology.

Must Have : Minimum Requirements

Bachelors degree plus 7 years of relevant corporate communications experience (or advanced degree with 5 years of experience)

Nice to Have

Bachelors degree in Communications or Journalism

Excellent writing editing and creative skills.

Strong project management skills; ability to manage complex projects with multiple

stakeholders and content contributors / subject matter experts.

Experience with or working knowledge of programs and applications such as PowerPoint Microsoft Office 365 SharePoint Teams and various desktop publishing

Experience working in a highly matrixed organization

Creative problem-solving skills and solid business acumen to connect communication

strategies to business objectives.

Experience working directly with senior leaders and collaborating cross-functionally with

leaders and peers in other functions across the globe.

Willingness to learn and implement the Medtronic brand voice in communications

Accuracy accountability and strong organizational skills are essential to a successful performance

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD) : $110400.00 - $165600.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience certification / education market conditions and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20 hours per week : Health Dental and vision insurance Health Savings Account Healthcare Flexible Spending Account Life insurance Long-term disability leave Dependent daycare spending account Tuition assistance / reimbursement and Simple Steps (global well-being program).
