About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer / Chief Operating Officer (CFO / COO) to join their senior leadership team. The CFO / COO will be responsible for a wide range of essential functions, including finance, facilities and operations, risk management, IT, and human resources. This role involves overseeing all financial transactions, reporting, and external auditing, as well as enhancing financial controls and creating long-range financial plans. The successful candidate will work closely with the Board's Finance and Investment Committee, lead the annual budget process, and ensure the organization's financial health is effectively communicated. Additionally, the CFO / COO will provide supervision and guidance to various directors, serve on ad hoc committees, and be involved in strategic and creative planning. Applicants for the CFO / COO position at the company should have a minimum of 10 years' experience in accounting, finance, operations, or general business management, with a preference for those with prior management experience in a private school or non-profit organization. A BA degree in a related field is required, with an MBA and / or CPA being preferred. The role demands a candidate with the ability to think and plan strategically, strong organizational and multitasking skills, and excellent communication and presentation abilities. Proficiency in Excel and financial systems is essential. The CFO / COO will also be involved in risk management, facilities and operations planning, and will work closely with the Head of School on various financial and operational matters.
