The Phlebotomist Floater provides high-level phlebotomy and patient-facing services across multiple locations, ensuring consistent coverage and operational support. This role requires advanced specimen collection skills, strong customer service, and the ability to support PSC, IOP, mobile, long-term care, and office-based environments. The Floater also leads site activities, supports onboarding, and serves as a resource, mentor, and point of contact for staff.
Key Responsibilities :
Draw high-quality blood specimens and prepare samples following established clinical and forensic protocols.Provide coverage at multiple locations and support various roles including PSC, IOP, mobile, and long-term care.Maintain accurate documentation, records, and workflow in all assigned environments.Assist with daily operations to ensure timely, accurate completion of phlebotomy-related activities.Explain procedures to patients and create a safe, confident, and professional patient experience.Mentor and support new employees; provide onboarding guidance and serve as a resource to site staff.Act as a point of contact for staff on site and coordinate with supervisory teams.Support customers with complex or high-volume practices requiring strong communication, problem solving, and collaboration across Sales, IT, Billing, Logistics, and Lab Services.Manage multiple priorities in high-volume settings.Required Experience :
Five years of phlebotomy experience , including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.Minimum 3 years experience in a PSC / IOP environment preferred.Customer service experience in retail or service environments preferred.Strong data entry and keyboarding skills.Required Education :
High school diploma or equivalent.Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in CA, NV, WA .Must be a certified phlebotomist from an accredited school (per custom field).Required Skills :
