Position Title : Lead Platform Automation Engineer

Location : Plano TX (in office 4x a month)

Role : Contract to Hire

Rate : $58hr (benefits included, PTO not included)

Job Description :

We are seeking a Lead Platform Automation Engineer to develop, implement, and maintain test automation frameworks and test data management solutions. This role will partner closely with engineering teams to ensure scalable, high-performance testing across all environments. The ideal candidate will mentor junior engineers, advocate for quality throughout the development lifecycle, and contribute to building robust CI / CD pipelines that support continuous delivery of high-quality software.

Strong programming / coding skills (Java, Python, JavaScript)

Strong test automation frameworks / solutions experience

Understanding of DevOps concepts and CI / CD practices

Cypress, JavaScript

API automation experience

Experience with CI / CD pipelines and AWS

Essential Job Functions :

Lead the design, development, and implementation of test frameworks to ensure efficient, consistent testing across platforms.

Define and enforce testing standards, automation strategies, and best practices across the SDLC.

Develop and maintain tools for generating, managing, and cleaning test data for automated and manual testing.

Integrate automation tools into CI / CD pipelines to enable continuous testing.

Mentor and guide junior quality engineers, fostering a collaborative test-driven development culture.

Serve as a subject matter expert in automation frameworks, testing methodologies, and platform quality engineering.

Collaborate with infrastructure teams to configure scalable testing environments.

Advocate for continuous improvement in test automation, test data management, and performance testing tools.

Minimum Qualifications :

Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.

8+ years of relevant experience in software engineering, quality engineering, or DevOps.

Preferred Qualifications :

• 12+ years of experience in software engineering, quality engineering, or DevOps roles.

Skills : Agile methodology

Test automation

Test data management

CI / CD pipelines

Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)

Version control (Git)

Debugging and monitoring tools

Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Ability to multitask and collaborate across team
