A global biotechnology leader is seeking a Histology Associate to support operations in its Histology Laboratory. This role is essential in executing foundational histological techniques and ensuring quality, safety, and compliance within a regulated lab environment. The associate will collaborate cross-functionally to meet production targets and support continuous improvement initiatives. This position may require weekend, holiday, and emergency coverage as needed to support operational goals.
Responsibilities :
Laboratory Operations & Histotechniques
- Perform foundational histotechniques, including tissue embedding, microtomy, coverslipping, processing, and staining.
- Operate laboratory and / or manufacturing equipment.
- Follow SOPs and receive detailed work instructions; perform tasks under supervision.
- Prepare and monitor bulk reagents.
- Assist in pre-work for complex techniques under guidance from senior histology staff.
Quality & Compliance
Maintain a safe work environment by identifying and reporting hazards, incidents, and near misses.Accurately perform tasks in compliance with OSHA, FDA, NMPA, ISO, and internal quality standards.Record production and material handling transactions per cGMP, QSR, and Roche policies.Identify and escalate issues related to raw materials, equipment, and safety.Continuous Improvement
Participate in 6S and lean activities; maintain daily operational records.Contribute to team meetings and support process improvements.Collaboration & Communication
Collaborate effectively with peers and cross-functional partners.Provide suggestions for process and equipment improvements.Qualifications :
High School Diploma or GED required.Minimum of 1 year of directly related histology experience.Hands-on experience with foundational histotechniques and lab equipment required.Ability to read, comprehend, and follow SOPs.Proficient with computers and tools such as Google Suite and SAPWork Conditions :
