Broadcast And Media Operations Engineer

Reporting to the Chief Engineer of Broadcast and Media Operations (BMO), the Engineer serves as part of a team that works hands-on with the latest production systems and technologies. The Engineer provides technical expertise and support to growing academic programs that use the film, television and radio facilities. This position will be working evening and weekend shift during academic sessions.

The successful candidate will join a team of full-time Engineers in Broadcast and Media Operations (BMO). BMO provides service to students, faculty, academic departments and schools within the College of the Arts, with especially close interaction with the School of Communication and Media and the College of the Arts, as well as both on and off campus clients and industry partners. The engineer is expected to work in all areas and with all users of the unit as assigned.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities :

• Provide technical support for academic programs and for extra-curricular student activities.
• Provide engineering support for professional clients and other University sponsored projects.
• Interact with a variety of constituents, from the Dean, faculty and professional staff, to graduate and undergraduate students.
• Maintain and operate the Presentation Hall, radio station, television and film studios, multi-platform newsroom, and related equipment (cameras, audio gear, still cameras, laptops, etc.).
• Manage the radio station server and accompanying software, ensuring smooth functionality across platforms.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Management retains the right to change or add job duties at any time.

Salary Range : $81,286.80-$88,673.69 Annually. The position may also be eligible for comprehensive benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and tuition assistance.
