Job Description
The Quality Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that products are manufactured to meet or exceed customer requirements. The Quality Engineer is also responsible for implementing, maintaining and continuously improving quality standards, procedures, and processes.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement quality assurance plans, standards, and procedures
- Monitor and analyze product and performance data.
- Ensure that products meet customer requirements and follow established process control systems.
- Investigate customer complaints and take corrective action as necessary using 8D methods.
- Monitor supplier components and enter NCR’s into system for credit request for Non-Conforming materials.
- Provide technical guidance and support to production team members.
- Coordinate quality assurance activities.
- Identify and analyze trends in customer satisfaction, quality, and performance.
- Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Establish and maintain relationships with customers.
- Investigate and resolve quality issues.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects.
- Perform internal audits for each process, Layered Process Audits and GEMBA Walks.
Working Conditions :
Working in Non-Climate controlled Assembly Plant and Climate controlled office environment.May sit for several hours at a timeProlonged exposure to computer screensRepetitive use of hands to operate computers, printers, and copiersQualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in technical discipline or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree3+ years of experience in quality assurance or quality managementEssential Functions :
Maintain, and continuously improve the established Quality Management System.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish and maintain quality specifications, procedures, and standards for products and processes.Conduct root cause analysis to identify and resolve quality issues in a timely and effective manner.Develop and implement quality improvement plans, including corrective and preventive actions, to address quality issues and to prevent their recurrence.Participate in design reviews, product development, and manufacturing processes to ensure that quality requirements are incorporated from the early stages of product development.Plan and execute internal and external quality audits, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.Provide training and support to team members on quality tools, methodologies, and best practices.Ensure all safety regulations are followed and maintain compliance with company, local, state, and federal regulations and guidelines.Competencies :
