Expectations of This Position :

The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for operating company-owned machinery in a safe and effective manner. They must be able to demonstrate safe operation of the assigned equipment. Operator is expected to use his / her experience and judgment to make decisions considering safety and efficiency.

Duties :

• Ensure all safety requirements and codes are implemented and met by all team members
• Ensure that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed
• Understand means and methods to safely perform assigned tasks
• Understand and ensure the safety of team members
• Monitor and track field data as requested by the superintendent
• Maintain required daily paperwork
• Operate heavy equipment.
• Operate heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner to minimize the risk of injury, property damage, or loss of life in accordance with company policies and procedures
• Perform daily pre-inspections : identify problems or defects that need to be corrected, and report problems or defects immediately
• Heavy Equipment includes (but is not limited to) : Excavator, Dozer, Off-Road Truck, Motor Grader, Backhoe, Roller, Reclaimer

Compensation Package :

Hourly position based on experience : $20.00 - $28.00 per hour depending on experience

Medical benefits available after 60 days of full-time employment

Supplemental benefits available after 60 days of full-time employment

Life Insurance and Disability of $25,000 paid by company

Education / License :

High School Diploma / GED (Preferred)

OSHA 10 or 30 (Preferred)

CPR / First Aid Training (Preferred)
