About the Role

The company is actively seeking a Director of Data Center Operations to lead the operational strategy and enhance the performance of its growing multi-campus data center portfolio. The successful candidate will oversee all facets of data center operations, ensuring excellence from site commissioning to steady-state operations, maintenance, and reliability, with a strong emphasis on safety, uptime, efficiency, and sustainability.

This pivotal leadership role requires building and scaling a high-performing cross-campus operations team while ensuring consistency and best practices across all facilities. The Director will serve as the primary point of contact for operational updates, maintenance communications, and incident response, partnering with internal and external stakeholders to promote operational excellence.

Ideal candidates will possess a minimum of 15 years’ experience in data center operations management, showcasing a successful history of leading teams overseeing significant data center capacity. Strong data-driven approach, proficiency in quantifying and tracking performance metrics, and the ability to collaborate effectively with C-Suite executives and Board of Directors are essential. A background in data center development and construction is crucial, along with an MBA or relevant graduate degree. The ideal applicant will have a notable record in managing all aspects of data center operations, including commissioning, maintenance, and incident recovery, and will excel in representing the Operations function during strategic and capital investment decisions.
