Description
Weekly and monthly preparation and analysis of assigned restaurant P&L statements in compliance with the accounting schedule.
Monthly bank and balance sheet account reconciliations.
Maintenance of prepaid, amortization, fixed asset, and depreciation schedules.
Complete expense accruals and cost allocations.
Provide accounting procedural and software support to restaurant operations across multiple locations.
Monthly Sales Tax Return preparation and filing.
Maintain local, county, and state licenses and permits for assigned restaurants.
Support annual external financial audits.
Protect company proprietary and confidential information.
Handles administrative duties, including accurate and timely data entry.
Works to ensure that all entries on the General Ledger are accurate and done on time.
Audit, review, and verify the accuracy of journal entries and accounting treatment in accordance with company policy and GAAP standards for assigned restaurants.
Assist with period-end close responsibilities in an effective manner to ensure all deadlines are met.
Provides feedback to Controller and VP, Finance on any discrepancies with the General Ledger and Accounts Payable.
Perform other related duties, tasks and responsibilities as required from time to time.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
2+ years of accounting experience required.
Experience and industry knowledge within the restaurant or retail is a plus. Multi-unit company experience preferred.
Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently.
Results-oriented and self-starter who enjoys a challenge.

Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Knowledge of Federal, State, and local legislative process; laws, codes, and regulations related to accounting.

Knowledge, Skills and Attributes
Strong experience in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
