As a facilities mechanical engineer, you will work on projects that enable the heart of our client's semiconductor-based manufacturing. You and other team members will work closely with client owners in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. In this role you will collaborate with on-site personnel to support projects of varying size and complexity including assessment of systems, consulting system owners and analyzing scope requests from stakeholders.

As a Mechanical Engineering Professional , you will be responsible for interacting with the client, contractors, and site personnel in Wilton, Connecticut . Your job includes designing, developing, evaluating, and preparing recommendations with basis of design (BOD), scope of work (SOW) documents, in addition to design, construction and specifications documents through the positional (programming) process with a team. You will also oversee engineering and construction for the facility mechanical systems work including HVAC, process cooling water, wastewater, general and acid / ammonia exhaust, fire protection, plumbing, process-piping and equipment. The work will include retrofits of existing building systems, as well as new systems.

Here's what you'll need

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from ABET accredited university
• At least 10 years of practical application of mechanical facilities design engineering, including HVAC, hydronics, process piping, exhaust, plumbing, and related mechanical facilities systems
• At least 5 years of design project delivery processes experience
• Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize, and leadership experience
• Solid knowledge and application of the mechanical requirements per ASME and ASME B31.3, building codes, fire codes, and other related standards, such as ASHRAE
• Solid knowledge in practice and procedures for specifications and selection of all types of mechanical equipment and components
• Experience reviewing vendor submittal packages against client requirements and specifications
• Field experience interacting with subcontractors and construction personnel

The base salary range for this position is $125,000.00 to $175,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
