Job Description

Position Overview - The Infrastructure team is responsible for building and maintaining internal-facing tools and systems across cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hosted environments. The Manager, Infrastructure Engineering wil provide technical vision for those environments as well as managing the operational support. Leveraging best practices and the appropriate frameworks, this role ensures the team, systems and tools provide a consistent rhythm that enables all to perform their jobs effectively.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Direct management and oversight of Infrastructure Engineering resources and team members including professional development and performance
  • Lead the design and deployment of internal Infrastructure systems implementing best practices and industry standards
  • Guide team members and leaders through continuous improvement of monitoring / alerting and incident response for all critical components of infrastructure
  • Provide advanced support for alerts and issues identified in the Infrastructure environment and liaise with vendors and external partners
  • Centralize and provide detailed documentation and diagrams for Infrastructure systems across all environment
  • Lead collaboration and create partnerships with adjacent teams to enable delivery of key cross-functional projects
  • Oversee security remediation and baseline maintenance (patching) as part of team activities according to applicable company policies and procedures
  • Advocate for the Infrastructure team in all forums, balancing team priorities and communicating clear expectations to customers / stakeholders
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance for Infrastructure due diligence and integration processes to support M&A Activities
  • Responsible for administration of enterprise device management solutions (JAMF, Intune, MobileIron)
  • Key orchestrator of the Infrastructure team Agile practices
  • Coordinate and participate in on-call rotation to support critical infrastructure

Qualifications :

  • Advanced technical experience implementing and supporting native cloud tools from a public cloud (AWS or Azure)
  • Advanced administration experience of Windows environments
  • Strong practical knowledge administering and supporting Linux servers and environments
  • Excellent understanding of IT and Security best practices and threat protection
  • Experience with orchestration tooling (Terraform, Cloudformation, Chef, etc)
  • Strong organizational skills including attention to detail and the ability to prioritize across multiple initiatives
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Desired Skills :

  • Highly advanced AWS support, implementation and troubleshooting experience
  • Fluency in Linux environments
  • Moderate programming and scripting experience with relevant technologies such as Python, Powershell, etc
  • Extensive experience implementing / supporting Microsoft Intune
