Job Description Summary
At Wycliffe Bible Translators, your work is more than just a job. As a workforce generalist, you’ll be responsible for aiding in the management of employer / partner-staff relations of our global workforce (supported staff, paid-staff, volunteers and interns).
Together with the Senior Director and workgroup members, you’ll ensure staff and staff relations are healthy, thriving and flourishing as staff realize their call to advance Bible translation. You’ll partner with other workgroup members to walk alongside staff, supporting and resourcing them through important employment touchpoints. You’ll apply your subject-matter expertise in the HR area to ensure engagements, processes, systems, communication and our workforce resources and services reflect our organizational / team ethos, while remaining responsive to internal and external partners in efforts to attain greater missional effectiveness.
Your contributions will play a pivotal role in Wycliffe’s ability to carry out its mission.

Global Workforce Services (GWS) supports Wycliffe by attracting, retaining, resourcing and supporting a diverse workforce dedicated to advancing Bible translation. Together, we support the full lifecycle of staff, volunteers, interns and contractors — ensuring they are well-equipped, strategically placed and deeply connected to our mission. Responsibilities
You’ll make an impact as you :
Faithfully and regularly pray for the ongoing work of Bible translation and for people from around the world to experience transformation.
Act as an organizational representative presenting the global ministry of Wycliffe and encouraging interested individuals, organizations and churches to participate in the work of Bible translation.
Live out the conviction that “work flows through relationship” by passionately “loving God and loving people” through word and deed. Promote team and organizational culture standards, ensuring high customer service standards.
Collaborate on departmental initiatives to provide a best-in-class experience for Wycliffe USA future and existing staff. Assist with cross-functional team responsibilities and tactical team / departmental initiatives.
Represent the GWS team in meetings, projects, workshops and partnership efforts, as assigned.
Work alongside the Senior Director and workgroup members to shepherd staff through the touchpoints of their employment experience (employee relations, reconciliation processes, performance management and HR training and coaching processes) with a high level of whole-person care, professionalism and efficiency.
Contribute to the member experience with partnering organizations to ensure superior staff care.
Assist with performance management, healthy conflict resolution and reconciliation processes in an effort to build greater trust, unity and harmony among employees, supervisors and / or teams.
Contribute to developments and continual improvements of the workforce experience functions.
Execute tasks with a high-degree of confidentiality and discretion.
Collaborate on efforts and strategies that improve staff’s understanding, adoption of and reflection of our values and policies.
Aid in triaging and processing requests received. Support administration, coordination and application of human resources policies, procedures and practices.
Hold staff accountable to expectations, policies and procedures to ensure all actions comply with internal and external standards. Convey employment information, guidelines and laws to staff in a manner they can easily understand.
Act as a liaison between GWS and staff, ensuring smooth and timely communication and prompt resolution to inquiries or requests for assistance. Coach and support staff through HR protocols to ensure the staff-supervisor / employer / partner relationship is strong and resilient.
Maintain and submit documentation, correspondence, files, records and reports on inquiries, developments and resolutions accurately and in accordance with records management protocols.
Maintain working knowledge of HR best practices, employee handbook, policies and procedures. Conduct ongoing assessments to ensure alignment of efforts with protocols and expectations.
Assist with HR training and orientation to improve staff awareness and understanding of HR best practices (processes, policies, standards, etc).
Hold HR professional licensure and / or certifications to contribute as a subject-matter expert, and provide input and support in implementing HR best-practices.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Workforce Experiences, Senior Director of Workforce Experiences or CHRO.

Ability and willingness to alter work schedules in order to work as needed across global time zones.

Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree and at least five to seven years of experience in human resources, social work and / or pastoral ministry; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
SHRM-CP, SPHR or GPHR certification required.
Familiarity with the Wycliffe / SIL context and / or mission, prior ministry service is preferred.

Compensation
The pay range for this position is $57,910 $66,597. Actual pay rate may be higher based on various factors such as qualifications, skills and experience, required training, licensure and / or certifications, budget and allocation, if applicable. Additionally, the range for this position is based upon and considers Wycliffe’s non-profit ministry environment.
