Job Description : We are seeking a Full-Time COTA and can offer either schedule : four 10 hour shifts a week or five 8 hour shifts a week!nn n n n n n n n n n Position Summaryn The COTA Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant provides direct rehab care in occupational therapy to patients upon physician referral under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Life Care standards.nEducation, Experience, and Licensure RequirementsnnNBCOT certified upon hire, but renewal is optional going forwardnGraduate of an accredited program in occupational therapy (ASOT)nCurrently registered / licensed in applicable State. Must maintain an active license in good standing throughout employment.nOne (1) year experience in post acute care or related setting preferrednCPR certification upon hire or obtain during orientation. CPR certification must remain current during employment.nnSpecific Job RequirementsnnParticipates in community health matters / projects as appropriatenProficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and e mailnLiaisons with patients, families, support departments, etc., to adequately plan for patient needsnDemonstrate good body mechanics at all timesnMake independent decisions when circumstances warrant such actionnKnowledgeable of practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing functions in the post acute care facilitynImplement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the departmentnPerform proficiently in all competency areas including but not limited to : patient rights, and safety and sanitationnMaintains professional working relationships with all associates, vendors, etc.nMaintains confidentiality of all proprietary and / or confidential informationnUnderstand and follow company policies including harassment and compliance proceduresnDisplays integrity and professionalism by adhering to Life Care's Code of Conduct and completes mandatory Code of Conduct and other appropriate compliance trainingnnEssential FunctionsnnFollow occupational treatment plans for patients under the direction of the supervising OTnChart appropriately and timelynUtilize therapy software appropriately and accuratelynExhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patientsnAssist in the evacuation of patientsnDemonstrate dependable, regular attendancenConcentrate and use reasoning skills and good judgmentnCommunicate and function productively on an interdisciplinary teamnSit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk, reach, and move intermittently during working hoursnRead, write, speak, and understand the English languagenn An Equal Opportunity Employer
