GENERAL PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF POSITION :
Adjunct Faculty are hired each semester on an as-needed basis. Adjunct Faculty are responsible for creating a learning environment that assists students in reaching their goals; and for providing effective instruction and assessment within the framework of common syllabi provided.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES :
This is not to be construed as an exhaustive list. Other duties logically associated with this position may be assigned. All responsibilities will be conducted within the parameters of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), other applicable regulatory requirements, and professional standards.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :
o In-field national, regional, or state professional certification (does not include teaching license or certificate) Three years of in-field professional employment in the industry (teaching in the area is not considered in-field professional employment).
o Documentation of research and publication in the field
o Documented relevant additional coursework beyond the bachelor's degree, equivalent to 15 semester / 22 quarter credit hours or equivalent subject matter coursework, CEU's, vendor, or military training.
o Professional certification (national, regional, or state) in business related field (does not to include a teaching license or certificate)
o Three years of in-field professional employment in business related field (teaching in the area is not considered in-field professional employment)
o Documented evidence of teaching excellence, including date of award
o Documentation of research and publication in the field
o Documented relevant additional coursework beyond the bachelor's degree, equivalent to 18 semester hours or equivalent subject matter coursework, CEU's, vendor, or military training.
Compensation : $47.35 / Contact hour
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and OTHER REQUIREMENTS : Must have strong working knowledge of current technologies appropriate to area of instruction and meet faculty credentials as outlined in the ASOM 7.1 for the specific area(s) of instruction. Conducts all activities with an appreciation, respect, and promotion of diversity of people, styles, and views.
