Role Description
The Regional Medical Director for the NY Metro region is a full-time senior leadership role responsible for guiding, mentoring, and developing Medical Directors and clinical teams across multiple veterinary clinics. Serving as both a strategic and clinical leader, this role partners closely with regional leadership to elevate medical quality, strengthen team engagement, and support the effective implementation of medical programs and initiatives.
This leader ensures the delivery of high-quality veterinary care, oversees regional medical strategy, supports leadership development, and builds strong, sustainable teams that are connected to the mission and values of the organization.

Team Development & Capacity
Build and maintain strong medical teams that meet regional capacity needs through effective recruitment and retention.Ensure all clinics have skilled, engaged veterinary teams aligned with medical and operational goals.Clinical Quality Leadership
Champion clinical excellence and support Medical Directors in evaluating and enhancing the quality of care.Guide the creation, refinement, and implementation of medical programs that strengthen patient care and support veterinarians.Engagement & Culture
Promote a culture where team members feel valued, inspired, and connected to the mission.Strengthen trust and help drive long-term retention by building supportive, collaborative relationships.Leadership Impact

Veterinary Medical Degree (DVM / VMD or equivalent).State licensure in good standing (or eligibility) for all states within regional oversight.DEA and controlled substance licensure where required.7+ years of clinical veterinary experience.3+ years of leadership experience , preferably as a Medical Director; multi-unit leadership experience is advantageous.
