Position Summary :
We are seeking a licensed and passionate Pediatric Occupational Therapist & Assistants to provide home-based therapy services to children throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area. You will evaluate, plan, and implement individualized treatment programs that help children develop the skills needed for independence in daily activities, play, and academic success.
Key Responsibilities :
Clinical Care
Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments of pediatric patients in home settings
Develop individualized treatment plans based on evaluation findings, family goals, and best practice standards
Provide evidence-based occupational therapy interventions focusing on fine motor skills, gross motor coordination, sensory processing, visual-motor integration, self-care skills, and activities of daily living
Work with children with diverse diagnoses including autism spectrum disorder, developmental delays, cerebral palsy, sensory processing disorders, and genetic conditions
Monitor and document patient progress, modifying treatment plans as needed
Family-Centered Care :
Collaborate with families to establish meaningful, functional goals
Educate and train parents / caregivers on therapeutic techniques and home exercise programs
Provide resources and support to empower families in their child's development
Create a comfortable, engaging therapeutic environment within the family's home
Professional Collaboration & Supervision :
Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) as assigned
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including speech therapists, physical therapists, and other healthcare providers
Communicate with physicians and referring providers regarding patient progress
Participate in team meetings, care conferences, and case reviews
Documentation & Compliance :
Complete timely and accurate documentation including evaluations, progress notes, discharge summaries, and treatment plans
Ensure compliance with state regulations, insurance requirements, and agency policies
Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations
