Job Description :
Pay Range : $25hr - $30hr
- The Optical Inspection Technician is a support-level individual contributor responsible for performing precise and accurate inspections using optical and mechanical tools.
- Working under general supervision, this role focuses on quality control and defect detection in fragile and high-precision assemblies.
- The technician follows established procedures and escalates issues when needed, contributing to the overall success of the team.
Responsibilities :
Perform optical and mechanical inspections with a high level of accuracy.Use measurement tools and equipment to ensure quality standards are met.Communicate with engineers and other team members to address issues.Document and report inspection findings clearly and accurately.Identify straightforward problems and escalate complex issues to the supervisor.Follow established processes while contributing to continuous improvement.Work to achieve operational targets within assigned job area.Requirement / Must Have :
Minimum of 2 years of experience in optical inspection or a related field.Proficiency in optical and mechanical measurement tools.Strong attention to detail and ability to handle fragile assemblies.Understanding of optical principles and quality control processes.High School Diploma or equivalent with 4 years of experience, orssociate's degree with 0-2 years of relevant experience.Should have :
bility to communicate effectively with engineers and floor staff.Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in a team.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Skills :
Experience with ISO 9001 or other quality management systems (preferred).Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) and quality improvement methods (preferred)..Knowledge of optical coatings, lens fabrication, and assembly processes (preferred)Qualification or Education :
High School Diploma or equivalent required.ssociate's Degree or technical certificate in optics or precision engineering preferred.
