Senior Equity Portfolio Manager
Wells Fargo is seeking a highly skilled Senior Equity Portfolio Manager to lead the management of discretionary equity portfolios, delivering superior investment performance while managing risk and optimizing returns. In addition, the role involves providing strategic business growth consulting to clients, leveraging financial insights and market expertise to drive expansion and operational efficiency. This position requires a deep understanding of equity markets, strong analytical skills, and a consultative approach to business growth strategies. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in portfolio management and experience advising businesses on scaling, operational improvements, and strategic financial planning.
In this role, you will :
- Manage discretionary equity portfolios, aligning investment strategies with client objectives, risk tolerance, and market conditions
- Conduct in-depth research, fundamental analysis, and risk assessment to optimize portfolio returns
- Monitor market trends, macroeconomic indicators, and financial models to make informed investment decisions
- Develop asset allocation strategies, implement trades, and continuously assess portfolio performance
- Deliver above-benchmark returns consistently while managing risk
- Ensure compliance with investment guidelines, regulatory requirements, and fiduciary responsibilities
- Provide strategic consulting services to partners, advising on them on Equity Optimizations offerings
- Identify growth opportunities and develop actionable recommendations
- Participate in advisor forums, and engage in a mix of education, relationship-building and product marketing
- Build strong long-term relationships leading to portfolio growth and increased assets under management (AUM)
- Provide thought leadership and industry presence representing Equity Optimization at investment conferences, advisor forums, and client events, sharing expertise on market trends and growth strategies
Required Qualifications :
4+ years of Wealth Investment Portfolio Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following : work experience, training, military experience, educationDesired Qualifications :
Minimum 4 years of experience in portfolio management, equity investing, or financial consultingSuccessfully completed FINRA Series 65 exam to qualify for immediate registration (or FINRA recognized equivalents)An active Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designationProven ability to generate strong investment performance and deliver business growth strategiesStrong knowledge of equity markets, valuation techniques, and risk managementBusiness growth consulting experienceExcellent analytical, communication, and leadership skillsAbility to build and maintain strong client relationshipsBachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related fieldJob Expectations :
Registration for FINRA Series 65 must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire.
