A financial organization based in PA is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to support and enhance its enterprise network infrastructure. The role offers an opportunity to work with Cisco, Palo Alto and enterprise management tools. This position is on-site for the first 90 days, with a hybrid option after the 90-day period.

This position offers a mix of hands-on engineering, strategic project work, and cross-functional collaboration. You will lead on implementations, manage the network lifecycle, and play a key role in ensuring stability, performance, and security across a rapidly growing IT environment.

Required Skills & Experience :

  • 7+ years of hands-on experience with Cisco networking technologies
  • Advanced knowledge of Cisco routers / switches, Cisco ASA firewalls, and Palo Alto firewalls
  • Strong experience with protocols including BGP, OSPF, MP-BGP, VPN, IPsec, VXLAN, and 802.1x
  • Proficiency with network / security tools such as Cisco DNA, DCNM, Panorama, NetFlow, PKI, FMC, ASDM
  • Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems
  • Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills
  • Strong project management capabilities with multi-month concurrent efforts
  • Ability to participate in on-call rotation and occasional off-hours work
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and installing rack-mounted hardware

Desired Skills & Experience :

  • Experience with vulnerability remediation and security hardening
  • Proficiency in network diagramming (e.g., Visio)
  • Familiarity with structured documentation and runbooks
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external vendors
  • Clear understanding of enterprise networking standards, audits, and compliance
