Senior It System Administrator / System Analyst

As NASA's largest engineering solutions provider working together with NASA at centers across the United States, we have an exciting opportunity for a Senior IT System Administrator / System Analyst to join the team with Nexus, a teammate company.
The Senior IT System Administrator / System Analyst will :
- Analyze, design, and implement information systems that align with business needs.
- Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, troubleshoot issues, and ensure that systems function efficiently and effectively.
Requisition Qualifications :
Education : Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent certification in a related area and normally possess 10 years of experience in the field or in a related area.Experience : Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Systems Analyst or in a similar role.Technical Skills : Proficiency in system analysis tools and methodologies. Experience with SQL, databases, and ERP systems. Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, or C# is an advantage. Knowledge and experience with AWS cloud operations. Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Microsoft Project).Soft Skills : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong work aptitude and interest in learning new technologies.Requisition Preferences :
Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.Requirements Gathering : Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business needs and translate them into detailed technical requirements and specifications.System Analysis : Analyze existing systems and processes to identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions.System Administration : Proven experience administering Windows 2019+ / Linux systems in a complex environment.Solution Design : Develop detailed system designs, workflows, and data models to support business requirements.Implementation Support : Coordinate and support the implementation of new systems or enhancements, including testing and troubleshooting.Documentation : Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system processes, configurations, and user guides.Testing and Quality Assurance : Develop and execute test plans to ensure systems function as intended and meet quality standards.Stakeholder Collaboration : Serve as a liaison between IT teams and business units to ensure clear communication and effective solutions.Continuous Improvement : Monitor system performance and recommend enhancements to improve efficiency and user experience.Compliance and Security : Ensure systems adhere to compliance standards and security protocols.
