Job Description

The Outside Parts and Services Sales Representative builds customer relationships by visiting customer locations to promote the organization with an emphasis on gaining additional parts and service business by identifying customer's needs, communicating, and delivering solutions to the customer.

  • Provides value to our customers and cultivates positive relationships by selling Parts and Service solutions that meet their specific needs. Supports all product lines carried by the organization.
  • Looks for opportunities to grow branch sales through increased business with existing customers, new customers, and owners of competitive equipment.
  • Promptly follows up with customers and delivers sound advice to help their organization.
  • Understands urgencies and ability to prioritize those in high pressure situations
  • Communicates customer concerns to the appropriate department manager at the branch when needed.

Competencies

  • Excellent verbal communication skills and ability to build and maintain rapport with key accounts.
  • Self-reliant and able to work independently; Maintains high levels of motivation with minimal supervision.

    • Work environment

    This position primarily works out of the company truck. Will also be heading into offices, sand and gravel pits with dust, dirt, and loud noise.

    Physical demands

    May need to deliver parts to customer. Should be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

    Travel required

    Dependent on territory.

    Required education and experience

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Knowledge of database software, online parts books, etc.
  • Ability to use standard computer applications such as Microsoft Office and Google Docs

    • Preferred education and experience

  • Previous business to business sales expericence
  • Basic knowledge of crushing equipment and dealership operations preferred but not required
