Sr. Supplier Quality Engineer

Key Responsibilities
- Validate corrective actions across FOD prevention, ship-loose kitting accuracy, CARs verification, and sub-tier supplier management / receiving inspection.
- Perform process validation and FOD Level 1 / Level 2 audits to ensure effectiveness and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
- Monitor and report exit criteria / success metrics to ensure sustainable and proactive quality controls.
- Conduct audits on quantities and bagging of ship-loose kits; ensure controls address one-off and edge case escapes.
- Confirm CAR (Corrective Action Report) implementation for specific incidents and assess supplier management / receiving inspection.
- Collaborate with Cirrus Supplier Quality and Engineering teams, leveraging supplier-development tools (tech reviews, control plans, PFMEA).
- Support creation and delivery of training materials, presentations, and curriculum updates.
- Provide on-site presence (23 days per week in Mobile, AL), aligned with Continental's production cadence.
- Develop and maintain a corrective action follow-up plan, including maintenance and tracking of effectiveness.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Aerospace, or related field) or equivalent experience.35+ years of Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE) or Quality Engineering experience, preferably with exposure to aerospace and automotive industries.Hands-on experience with FOD audits, receiving inspection, CARs, and supplier corrective action management.Proficiency in quality tools and methodologies such as PFMEA, control plans, root cause analysis, and process validation.Strong knowledge of supplier quality management systems and sub-tier supplier oversight.Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.Strong communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional and supplier engagement.Willingness to travel and work on-site 23 days per week in Mobile, AL.Continuous improvement mindset with demonstrated ability to identify risks and implement sustainable controls.70 - $80 an hour
Actual compensation will be based on a variety of factors, including experience, skills, qualifications, and location. Mileage reimbursement at the US government rate ($0.70) per mile driven. Untaxed.
