Jr. Sales Applications Engineer

Volt is hiring an Inside Sales Application Engineer in Denton, TX with an industry leader in their field. In this role, you will Focuse on learning how to quote electrical distribution products and build customer relationships, especially for UL508A Control Panels, UL891 Switchboards, and UL67 Panelboards. As an Insides Sales Application Engineer, you will be responsible to : Gather necessary data (BOMs, vendor quotes, SLD drawings, spec’s) to prepare & generate quotes for switchboards, panelboards, and control panels. Handle basic customer questions, escalate advanced issues to senior team members. Collaborate with Engineering & Production Work under close guidance from senior engineers and production leads to ensure quotes align with lead times, pricing, and UL requirements. Learn UL508A, UL891, and UL67 standards step by step. Monitoring and replying to inbound requests from “Sales” email inbox. Develop foundational knowledge of electrical distribution systems and UL standards. Participate in training sessions and shadow senior engineers on sales calls and project discussions. The Ideal Candidate will have : Education : Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or related field (or relevant technical experience) Technical Aptitude : Basic understanding of electrical components and distribution products; willingness to learn from mentors. Attention to Detail : Accurate record-keeping and data entry for quotes and sales documents. Communication Skills : Good verbal and written abilities; comfortable interacting with team members and customers. Software Familiarity : MS Office suite; willingness to master company CRM system, ERP Software, and inhouse quote tools. This is a full-time, DIRECT HIRE opportunity. Salary : $60-75K
