Join our Material Supply Chain (MSC) team as our Global Material Planning Director for our Apparel and Accessories business. You will play a critical role defining future material strategies for the business to best serve our consumer, collaborating with material sourcing and delivery teams, finished goods supply planning teams, and product creation teams. You will manage individuals directly, ensuring the execution of these strategies follow through while also playing a pivotal role in ensuring timely deliveries between our Tier 2 and Tier 1 suppliers. You will sit on the Materials Sourcing and Planning leadership team, offering an enterprise-mindset to problem solving and team culture, and you will be part of the development journey and success of many teammates across the Material Supply Chain team.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Success in this role requires the Director to deeply understand Nike business, and the integration of materials and supply across the entire value chain. The Director will be charged with helping us to drive clarity around future business needs, lead strategic work to deliver tangible value, and managing the day-to-day business and activities for the Apparel and Accessories Materials Planning team. The role requires a structured but flexible thinker and outstanding communicator who is comfortable with ambiguity, working cross-functionally, and influencing at all levels within the organization.

  • Become a recognized expert on Global and Geography supply and materials, effectively representing the business in wide variety of settings
  • Demonstrate excellent team leadership skills, with direct responsibility for managing others. Ability to also indirectly lead others.
  • Specific industry experience in planning for materials, supply and / or inventory in either Global or Geography organizations
  • Specific character traits include being hungry yet humble, having resilience and energy, and a perspective that is always additive to the team.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

If this is you, you’ll be working with a highly cross-functional team to plan, manage and deliver the material forecast for the apparel and accessories business. You will also collaborate with other functions to ensure on-time delivery of materials to our finished goods vendors, supporting marketplace demand and strategies. You will also scope, plan and lead strategic projects prioritized by the MSC function. Finally, you will share your enterprise point of view with the Sourcing and Planning leadership team, helping to continuously shape the organization’s direction.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

This role works directly with Product Supply Chain teams, Demand Supply Management (DSM) teams, and Product Creation teams, with interaction occurring across all levels of the organization.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor's degree in the relevant or a related field, or relevant professional experience, education, and training; MBA or advanced degree is preferred
  • Minimum 8 years' total experience in a variety of experiences including planning, sourcing, operations, or related fields (6+ years of work experience with MBA)
  • Ability to shape and drive strategic agendas and high-profile communications (compelling, high impact storyteller)
  • Ability to lead cross-functional and dedicated teams, provide project management expertise, and to manage multiple projects at once
  • Excellent problem structuring and strategic problem-solving skills, and seeks out opportunities for continuous improvements.
  • Self-directed and comfortable working in ambiguous environments
  • Outstanding interpersonal and team skills
  • Have a strong bias for action. A self-guided and self-driven supply chain authority who has the passion to create future plans in support of business needs, through excellent understanding of E2E supply chain interdependencies.
  • Requires domestic and international travel up 15% of time, along with the flexibility to collaborate with global partners on their local times as needed
