job_description.job_card.job_description2+ years experience with irrigation systems. Basic knowledge of irrigation system repairs. High School Diploma or GED. Trouble shooting techniques. Ability to drive a golf cart. Must be able to respond quickly to urgent situations. Ability to physically lift up to 50 LBS English verbal communication skills.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Do preventive maintenance on the irrigation system (Wet Checks).
- During wet checks repair system, fix clogged heads, trim around valve boxes; replace broken valve boxes, straighten sprinkler heads. Make sure heads are flush mounted where applicable.
- Oversee preventive maintenance of 1000 GPM pump station twice annually.
- Clean up responsibilities after a repair, rake, sweep, blow area so the area looks undisrupted.
- Participate in special projects to be determined by department manager.
- Execute work orders.
- Other duties as assigned by Grounds Manager.
