Job Summary

Functions as lead tech by training techs and monitoring compliance. Performs / assists scheduling staff. Serves as a resource to staff. Responsible for collection, decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and distribution of instruments, supplies, and equipment needed for patient care. Collaborates with other members of the health care team to ensure optimal patient care is provided. Takes an active role in quality control / assurance and process improvement. Will act as a team leader and assist with staff training / orientation by working with the SPD team educator and quality

Job Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement :

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Minimum Experience Requirement :

Four (4) years of Hospital Central Sterile Supply Technician experience is required. Demonstrated leadership experience is required. Excellent customer service skills required.

Minimum License Requirement :

HSPA-Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (CRCST) or CBSPD- Certified Board Sterile Processing Distribution (CSPDT) is required. Effective 2 / 1 / 2025, any tech hired / transferred with a CST is required to obtain CRCST / CBSPD within one (1) year.

Pay Range : $24.31 - $36.47
