Maintenance Trades Helper

POSITION SUMMARY

: Maintenance Trades Helper provides support and assistance to building maintenance staff. The work type is highly variable, will be accomplished under direct supervision from a skilled maintenance technician, and will be limited to support functions only.

TYPICAL DUTIES : 1.

• Assist building maintenance staff in procuring, obtaining, and preparing tools, equipment, and materials for specific planned maintenance tasks2.
• Schedule, coordinate, and escort subcontractor staff3.
• Assist with documentation, including sorting and filing of photographs, receipts, logs, checklists, and equipment lists4.
• Transport materials, documentation, tools and / or equipment between facilities5.
• Maintain equipment and material logs to ensure availability of required bench stock6. Performs other duties and special projects as assigned

WORK ENVIRONMENT :

Working is performed at a customer’s location in an office / shop environment. Equipment may be located in confined spaces, rooftops, and outside areas. Employees may be exposed to hazardous and / or toxic substances, electrical shock, noise from equipment, and depending on external weather conditions, wind, rain, cold, and heat. Frequent travel to various worksites is required.
