POSITION OVERVIEW :
The Project Accountant is responsible for maintaining financial records for assigned projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES :
Include but are not necessarily limited to the following :
- Assist in preparing monthly AIA / G702 & G703
- Prepare monthly construction draws for submission to lending partners
- Handle all A / R and A / P related to assigned construction jobs
- Complete all necessary monthly general ledger journal entries
- Perform account reconciliations as necessary and meet required deadlines for timely financial reporting.
- Ensuring that a project's finances are tracked accurately and rigorously
- Maintain an orderly accounting filing system in an online storage system

Undergraduate degree required in accountingA minimum of 3 years of experience in construction accountingExperience with preparing and reviewing construction jobsExperience in Accounts Payable, Job Cost, and GL reconciliationStrong work ethic with demonstrated desire to grow with a growing companyAmbitious individual for this very fun, flexible working environmentAbility to work independently and handle multiple assignmentsMust be a proficient communicator and listenerAbility to work on multiple projects simultaneously with frequent interruptionsMust have a valid U.S. driver’s licenseTECHNICAL / COMPUTER SKILLS :
Excellent quantitative analysis and financial model skills (using Excel) are requiredJonas Premier experience preferredWorking knowledge of email and MS Office software programs necessaryAbility and willingness to effectively use other job-related technology toolsPHYSICAL DEMANDS :
