Our hospital includes a 24-hour ER with Level 1 trauma center, a comprehensive stroke center, more than 500 physicians and a full complement of subspecialty groups. High School diploma or equivalent. Completion of an accredited phlebotomy / medical assistant program with clinicals or previous phlebotomy experience. Certification from nationally recognized agency. Accepted agencies and certifications include, but are not limited to, the following : National Heathcareer Association Certified Phlebotomy Technician : CPT (NHA). American Society for Clinical Pathology Phlebotomy Technician : PBT (ASCP). American Medical Technologists Registered Phlebotomy Technician : RPT (AMT). National Center for Competency Testing National Certified Phlebotomy Technician : NCPT (NCCT). American Certification Agency Certified Phlebotomy Technician : CPT (ACA). Hospital Lab information system skills and strong customer service skills. Experience working in the clinical setting. 5+ years' experience as a Phlebotomist.
