Position Overview
Seeking a friendly, detail-oriented Administrative Assistant with the opportunity to cross-train as a Dental Assistant after successful completion of administrative training. This role is perfect for someone who is eager to grow in the dental field while supporting both our patients and our team.
Key Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will be able to perform a wide range of administrative and patient-support tasks, including :
Organizing and maintaining accurate and complete patient charts
Answering phone calls courteously and communicating professionally with patients
Greeting all patients with a warm, welcoming, and professional attitude
Managing the patient schedule and coordinating workflow between front and back office teams
Verifying insurance benefits for scheduled treatments
Collecting patient payments and reconciling daily financial reports
Preparing prescriptions as directed by the dentist
Presenting treatment plans and calculating patient co-payments and insurance estimates
Educating patients about treatment needs and procedures
Preparing and submitting dental insurance claims efficiently and accurately
Preferred Qualifications
1+ years of experience in healthcare, finance, sales, or a related customer-service role
1+ years of experience in the dental field (preferred but not required)
Strong verbal communication skills and exceptional interpersonal abilities
Highly organized, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
COVID-19 Precautions
Full COVID-19 vaccination required
PPE provided or required
Social distancing protocols in place
Routine sanitizing, disinfecting, and cleaning procedures implemented
Salary
$18-$25 per hour , depending on experience
