Our client, a global automotive manufacturer, is seeking an experienced and hands-on Quality Manager to lead and uphold quality standards across daily operations. This role plays a critical function in ensuring compliance with both internal and external quality requirements, supporting production teams, and driving continual improvement.   • On-site role in Grand Rapids, MI. Relocation assistance is available for out-of-area candidates As Quality Manager, you will manage quality personnel, oversee root cause analysis and corrective actions, and ensure quality systems align with industry standards such as ISO 9001 : 2015, IATF 16949 : 2016, and ISO 14001 : 2015. This role requires strong technical understanding, a solutions-oriented mindset, and the ability to collaborate with teams across engineering, production, and design functions. Key Responsibilities : -Lead the daily operations of the Quality department, ensuring alignment with customer and internal standards.-Oversee quality assurance processes tied to design, production, and supplier documentation review.-Participate in management meetings to report on quality performance and initiatives.-Coordinate quality staff scheduling to align with production support needs.-Identify root causes of product or process issues and implement effective corrective actions.-Monitor quality trends and drive continuous improvement within assigned programs or product lines.-Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, manufacturing, purchasing) to resolve quality concerns.-Ensure compliance with standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and IATF 16949.-Apply quality tools including FMEA, APQP, MSA, and SPC to maintain system effectiveness.-Promote adherence to company-wide Quality and Environmental : -Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related field-10+ years of quality engineering experience in an automotive manufacturing environment -3+ years of Quality Management experience in an automotive manufacturing environment-Solid understanding of quality management systems and industry regulatory requirements.
