GUILD GC, Inc is a vertically integrated construction and development company with a focus on building urban-infill multifamily projects across the westside of Los Angeles. With a pipeline of projects to build, we are looking for a dynamic Project Engineer to join the team in the construction of a mixed-use building located in West Hollywood. We seek a professional, self-motivated and team-oriented individual to assist us with our expanding workload.

  • Location : West Los Angeles, CA
  • Salary : Based on experience but in the range of $75,000 to $90,000

JOB DUTIES

Project Coordination :

  • Assist the Project Manager and Superintendent in daily project operation
  • Coordinate between field teams, subcontractors, suppliers and design professionals
  • Track RFI’s (Request for Information) and ensure timely responses
  • Support the preparation, distribution and management of submittals and shop drawings
  • Documentation & Reporting :

  • Maintain / update project documentation including drawings, specs, logs and correspondence
  • Record meeting minutes for owner, subcontractor and coordination meetings
  • Assist in preparing and maintaining project schedules and look-ahead plans
  • Monitor daily reports and jobsite logs; verify progress and note any delays and issues
  • Cost & Budget Management :

  • Assist in the review of subcontractor invoices, change orders and pay applications
  • Help track committed costs against project budgets
  • Support procurement and purchasing activities
  • Maintain logs for potential change orders (PCO’s), RFI’s and contract revisions
  • Quality Control & Compliance :

  • Support inspections and testing per project specifications and regulatory requirements
  • Ensure that materials and installations comply with contract documents
  • Assist in developing punch lists and coordinating project close-out
  • Help manager safety compliance documentation and reporting
  • Communication & Collaboration :

  • Act as liaison between project team members, architects, engineers and clients
  • Attend project meetings and prepare follow-up communications
  • Assist with client updates and status reports
  • Technology & Tools :

  • Use program management software (e.g. Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, etc)
  • Assist with digital plan markups, document uploads and coordination models
  • Perform quantity takeoffs or support estimating teams as needed
  • QUALIFICATIONS

    The successful candidate will possess :

  • At least 3 years of experience in commercial construction industry
  • Undergraduate degree in Construction Management – Civil Engineering…a plus
  • Experience managing Procore
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and MS Project
  • Must possess valid / active driver’s license
  • Bonus : experience building in the cities of Los Angeles and West Hollywood
