Position Summary :  Responsible for the supervision, training and performance of department reception and medical assistant teams. Promote efficient workflows for assigned support staff. Maintain an environment of superior customer service and patient care. Must demonstrate the ability to work independently and follow direction. Responsible for development and training of front-line staff, organizing staff schedules, and enforcement of clinic policies and procedures. Addresses patient concerns in a prompt and professional manner. Manages hiring and constructive disciplinary processes for direct reports. Oversees physician schedules and ensures that support staff adequately communicate and coordinate tasks, messages, and patient needs with physicians and colleagues.

Essential Job Functions :

  • Interact daily with physicians to ensure excellent communication
  • Address patient complaints, questions, and grievances using professionalism and sound judgement
  • Train frontline staff in areas of job function and customer service
  • Manage timecards and schedules for direct reports
  • Use analytic tools to ensure staff adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a harmonious and professional work environment for direct reports
  • Respond promptly to patient needs.
  • Attend meetings as assigned.
  • Manage physician schedules and scheduling templates
  • Develop efficient office practices.
  • Assist department administration in development and analysis of reporting tools
  • Promote Value Based Care efforts, as assigned
  • Interview and select new hires in coordination with physicians and department management
  • Conduct timely performance reviews for direct reports
  • Assist with the development and distribution of financial reporting for the department

Qualifications :  2 years of medical management experience preferred. Ability to identify, train, and develop medical support staff, as well as promote an efficient and functional workplace. Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work on multiple projects with minimal supervision. Personifies healthy team-building and patient-oriented customer service. Ability to work well with physicians, administration, front-line staff, and patients. Education / Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred..

Hours :  Monday-Friday 8 : 00A-5 : 00P plus other hours / meetings as needed.
